Braxton Keith

Doors @ 6 PM | Show @ 7 PM

Ages 14+

Keith is part of a new generation of country singer-songwriters “lighting up the country music world” (RFD-TV) and leading a revival of its core creative tenants. A proud Texas native who these days splits time between San Antonio and Nashville, Keith was born in Midland, Texas, steeped in country mystique. Featuring an earnest love of the ‘80s country aesthetic – and all but addicted to the rush of the stage – Keith has spent the last few years of life as a proud road dog, schooling new fans of the timeless power of a revved up band and rich organic twang. Blending throwback-tonk with a sharp, barbed-wire vocal recalling stars like Tracy Lawrence (plus a little borderland buzz of San Antonio Spanish influence), Keith became a regular face in venues all across his home state. More new music is planned for a 2025 release, as Keith continues fine-tuning his natural songwriting style – timeless tunes of love, loss and life steeped in the energy and attitude of a Texan dancehall, but made for a wider audience. The contours of his uniquely country sound and style merge past and present with the timeless edge of a band-leading troubadour.

Casey Donahew

Doors @ 7 PM | Show @ 8 PM

Ages 14+

Opening Performance by CW & Twenty Hands High

After over two decades of making music, one thing has never changed for Casey Donahew – it has always been and always will be about the song.

Casey Donahew, Fort Worth native and Texas country mainstay, has spent over two decades winning over fans with his gritty storytelling, relatable lyrics, and signature blend of cowboy charm, heartbreak, and humor. Honored with his own “Casey Donahew Day” and the city’s official song “Stockyards,” he’s tallied 27 #1 Texas chart singles and built a loyal fanbase by staying true to himself.

His latest album, Never Not Love You, features 17 tracks full of vivid tales about love, life, and loss—many written solo, just how Donahew prefers it. Standouts include his first true duet, “Whiskey Talking” with Kylie Frey, the beachy heartbreak anthem “Another Beach,” and the rowdy “Luckiest Guy.”

From redneck anthems to cinematic cowboy ballads like “Tommy Barrett,” Donahew’s songs feel like short films—gritty, colorful, and real. He also co-founded the fan-favorite Boots On The Beach festival and has landed tracks in hit shows like Yellowstone and Tulsa King. Now over 20 years in, Casey keeps doing what he does best: writing great songs, playing to sold-out crowds, and giving fans a good time.

The Wilder Blue

Doors 5 PM | Show 7 PM

Ages 14+

“There is music. And then there is The Wilder Blue, who feel so transcendent, they’re in a category all of their own.” —Saving Country Music

The Wilder Blue began in 2019 when Zane Williams, already a seasoned troubadour with seven solo albums under his belt, pulled together a select group of multi-talented musicians from the Texas music scene. Their debut album Hill Country (2020) and its follow-up The Wilder Blue
(2022) garnered comparisons to early Eagles and 80’s-era Alabama by interweaving five-part harmonies with bluegrassy arrangements of folk-rock and country songs.

For their newest release Super Natural in the fall of 2023, the band enlisted Grammynominated Brent Cobb to produce the album and perform on the title track, a song he and the band co-wrote in the studio. Brent’s groovy, vintage sensibilities proved a natural fit for a band with influences as diverse as Little Feat, Del McCoury, and Robert Earl Keen. A cover of the Eagle’s classic “Seven Bridges Road” also features band admirer Luke Combs, who has added The Wilder Blue to his 2025 stadium tour lineup.

Twenty years before he was fronting a break-out band, Zane Williams was a solo coffeehouse performer and aspiring songwriter in Nashville. After moving back to his native Texas in 2008 he eventually became a dancehall staple and respected songwriter with cuts by the likes of Pat Green, Kevin Fowler, and Cody Johnson. To the surprise of his fans (and the bemusement of his booking agent), Zane announced the formation of the new group in 2019 by soliciting band names from his fans and promising lifetime free tickets to anyone whose suggestion was picked. (The winning name “Hill Country” had to be changed just after the release of their first album due to a trademark conflict, but the winner is still on the guest list for life!)

Multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Andy Rogers was the only member of Zane’s former band to join the new group. Born and raised in Lebanon, TN, Rogers learned bluegrass chops from an early age and excelled on bass, banjo, dobro, guitar, and just about anything with strings. Rogers moved to Denton, TX in 2004 to study jazz bass at the University of North Texas and made a long-term home in the eclectic arts community he found there. Playing in a series of rock and country gigs eventually led him to join the Zane Williams band on bass and vocals in 2016.

Looking over the Texas music scene for likely bandmates, Williams sent a text to a singersongwriter and lead guitar player whose voice had caught his ear a few years before on local radio. Paul Eason was ensconced at the time in a comfortable guitar gig with Texas staple Kevin Fowler but was immediately intrigued by the notion of joining forces. Originally from Houston, TX but living at the time in San Antonio, Eason fronted various bands beginning in his teens and released two solo albums in the early 2000’s before joining the Fowler band full time. A third solo album followed in 2016, which showcased his distinctive lead vocals, southwestern aesthetics, and impeccable guitar playing.

Eason, in turn, vividly recalled meeting a singing drummer named Lyndon Hughes who had been with the Roger Creager band. Eason and Williams paid a visit to the studio in the Woodlands, TX where Hughes was working as an engineer, producer, drummer, and vocalist. Singing together that day on a new song Williams had written called “Dixie Darlin’,” the three realized they were onto something special. Hughes, a Houston native, brought a wide range of skills to the new band. His effortless harmony vocals, his versatile drumming, and his ears as an engineer and producer would end up having an major affect on the shaping the sound of the band.

After an experimental jam session and some casual demo recordings in 2019, the four existing members agreed that Rogers would be best utilized playing primarily banjo and dobro which meant the search was on for a permanent bass player to round out the band. After several months of searching and two dead ends, the band reluctantly decided to begin recording its first album without a dedicated bass player. With the first gig only a few months away, the pressure was building to find someone—-anyone?—-who could fill the role. Which is when the perfect person happened to come along.

Only in his mid-20s, Sean Rodriguez was already both a road dog and a fixture in the live music scene of Austin, TX. Originally from Corpus Christi, TX Rodriguez grew up playing everything from funk to rock to conjunto to country. It’s a diversity reflected in his flamboyant dress and vintage playing style, delivered on stage with a boot-scootin’ joie-de-vivre that quickly earned him the nickname “The Boogie Man”. The four existing band members asked Rodriguez to join them in the studio and play on the final two songs as a trial run. Shortly after he arrived, the five members of the Wilder Blue first gathered around to sing something together in the lobby of the studio. “Let’s try “Seven Bridges Road”, someone suggested. The blend was magic, and the chill bumps on their arms are the same ones fans are now feeling at venues all across the nation.

Steve Earle

Doors 5 PM | Show 7 PM

14+

Steve Earle is one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of his generation. A protege of legendary songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, he quickly became a master storyteller in his own right, with his songs being recorded by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, The Pretenders, and countless others. 1986 saw the release of his record, Guitar Town, which shot to number one on the country charts and is now regarded as a classic of the Americana genre. Most recently, Earle’s 1988 hit Copperhead Road was made an official state song of Tennessee in 2023.

Subsequent releases like The Revolution Starts…Now (2004), Washington Square Serenade (2007), and TOWNES (2009) received consecutive GRAMMY® Awards. Jerry Jeff, released in 2022, consisted of Earle’s versions of songs written by Jerry Jeff Walker, one of his mentors. Earle has published both a novel I’ll Never Get Out of This World Alive (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt 2011) and Dog House Roses, a collection of short stories (Houghton Mifflin 2003). Earle produced albums for other artists such as Joan Baez (Day After Tomorrow) and Lucinda Williams (Car Wheels on A Gravel Road)

As an actor, Earle has appeared in several films and had recurring roles in the HBO series The Wire and Tremé. In 2009, Earle appeared in the off-Broadway play Samara, for which he also wrote a score that The New York Times described as “exquisitely subliminal.” Earle wrote music for and appeared in Coal Country, for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. Earle is the host of the weekly show Hard Core Troubadour on Sirius Radio’s Outlaw Country channel. In 2020, Earle was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. And in 2023, Steve was honored by the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music. Steve’s latest album, “Alone Again (Live)”, released on July 12th, 2024.

Aaron Watson

Doors @ 7 PM | Show @ 8 PM

Ages 14+

Aaron Watson is a man forever looking to the horizon. Where other artists might rest on their laurels, he consistently presses onward to the next frontier, cutting through lazy industry wisdom in favor of success won on his own terms. He is the first independent male country artist ever to debut an album at No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart, a feat recognized in the Country Music Hall of Fame. He has earned a litany of prestigious awards, hundreds of millions of streams on his music, shared the stage with country music legends Willie Nelson and Alan Jackson, and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for multiple charities. This next chapter of his trailblazing career sees him deep in the weeds on two projects: the first, an album of covers dedicated to his daughter; the second, a 2024-slated album of originals that promises to be his most daring and audacious release to date. “My goal is to put out the best country album in all of country music in 2024,” he says simply, “It sounds crazy, but then pretty much everything I’ve done sounded crazy until I did it.”

Watson hails from Amarillo in West Texas and began writing songs whilst still in high school. He began performing in college, eventually forming a band and developing a loyal following. Despite being approached by major labels, Watson chose the road less traveled and released his work independently. This turned out to be the right call when his album “Real Good Time” charted in the top ten nationwide on Country Billboard. An unheard of feat at the time. With the taste of success fresh on his lips, Watson pushed onward and created “Underdog” which became the first Country album released independently to chart at number one. “People told us that it had never been done. It was impossible. I don’t put so much stock in that word anymore.”

Success built upon success with Watson’s follow up albums. However, 2020 heralded a slow down for the artist by way of the COVID-19 pandemic and an unexpected vocal cord surgery. “That time out reminded me what a blessing this is. To get to do what I love, sing the songs that I write and have people sing them along with me.” Watson was keen to get back to his fans, and to make them feel like a part of the family more than ever before.

“Me and my thirteen year old daughter Jolee Kate had been talking a lot about music, particularly female singers who write their own stuff. I wanted her to understand the power that comes with owning your own voice.” Out of those conversations came Cover Girl, a collection of covers of mold-breaking female country singers performed by Aaron, with his daughter joining him on vocals for one track. “I had no plans for the rest of the world to hear it, but the more people I told, the more people loved it. So we’re doing it as a full release, I’m so excited!”

Aaron Watson is nothing if not audacious, and his promise to fans that his next album of originals will be the best Country album of 2024 stands firm. By his own admission, the songs are, by-and-large, completed, yet Watson continues to push himself to make them better. “I love every second of what I get to do, but if making music is a marathon (and it is), I want to collapse to the ground the second after I cross the finish line. Nothing left to give.” Aaron Watson is a man constantly reaffirming his dedication to the craft of songwriting, and it is this commitment to quality and treating his fans with respect that has proved him, time and again, to be the living North Star for country music’s free and indomitable spirit.
