An Evening with David Nail

Doors @ 7 PM | Show @ 8 PM

Ages 14+

Hailing from Kennett, Missouri, David Nail is well-respected up and down Music Row. Some might even call him a “tour de force” as his songs pull no punches in evoking the demons with which he has wrestled through much of his life.

The GRAMMY-nominated multi-platinum singer/songwriter’s early releases, I’m About To Come Alive, The Sound Of A Million Dreams, I’m A Fire and Fighter, ignited his reputation as an innovator and creative risk-taker yet left Nail feeling restless. This led to the departure of the only record company home he’d ever known, MCA Nashville, where he’d formed friendships that endure even now.

Through dealing with his own journey of mental health and the feeling of needing to “rebel against what people expect you to be,” Nail began making his most “organic” work to date, David Nail & The Well Ravens, with Jason Hall and Andrew Petroff. That project liberated Nail and propelled him into his next adventure. Writing solo for the next few months led to his debut solo independent EPOh, Mother, a reflective piece of work. Of the title track, Rolling Stone noted that “the song creeps in like a sunrise—quiet, restrained cello and keys are the only underpinning for Nail’s powerful vocals at first. But then it slowly builds to something more massive and majestic.

”That release was followed by Bootheel 2020 and Bootheel 2021, projects dedicated to the singer/songwriter’s hometown in the “bootheel” of Missouri. Nail released an EP titled Best of Me in 2023 and the title track has seen heavy press support and country radio airplay. 2024 brought more touring than ever, two great single releases “If I Could Call” and “Why” featuring Aubrie Sellers. Nail plans on releasing the start of an excitingly different and elevated album project this year leaving behind any self-imposed restrictions. In Nail’s own words, “My philosophy has always been, I just hope to have a good enough year that I can have a next year while staying as true to myself as I possibly can.”

Crystal Gayle

Doors 6 PM | Show 7 PM

Ages 14+

Grammy-winning songstress Crystal Gayle is a beloved country music icon whose reign in the music business includes 22 No. 1 country hits, four top twenty pop hits, six albums certified Gold by the RIAA, and three certified Platinum, including We Must Believe in Magic which was the first album by a female artist in country music history to reach platinum sales.

Her list of platinum and gold is matched by her awards and accolades. CMA’s “Female Vocalist of the Year” for two consecutive years, Crystal is also a Grammy Award winner for “Best Female Vocal Performance” thanks to her timeless, international smash hit “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue” – a song that she today admits she has never grown tired of singing.

Crystal has three Academy of Country Music Awards statuettes for “Top Female Vocalist” and won four American Music Awards. Not surprisingly, she was named the Most Performed Country Female Artist on radio for the decade of 1975-1985. Perhaps nothing sums up Crystal’s career achievements better than being awarded with a star on the fabled Hollywood Walk of Fame in October 2009.

Famous for her nearly floor-length hair, Crystal was voted one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world by People Magazine, and in 2016 the Academy of Country Music honored her with the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award. Gayle was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in January 2017 by her sister and Opry legend Loretta Lynn.

Easton Corbin

Doors 6 PM | Show 7:30 PM

Ages 14+

Opening Performance by Tyler Halverson

Easton Corbin has been gracing stages with his memorable baritone and unique blend of traditional and modern country music for more than a decade – and his latest album release, Let’s Do Country Right, is no exception.

Known for No. 1 singles like “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It,” along with recent releases, “easygoing” and “fun number” (Billboard) “I Can’t Decide,” “love anthem” (People) “Marry That Girl,” and newest focus track and upcoming tour title, “Lonesome Drinkers” (all included on Let’s Do Country Right) the Florida native continues to deliver that same neotraditional sound fans know and love today.

Working with longtime producer Carson Chamberlain, as well as co-writing collaborators like Wade Kirby, Shane Minor, Adam Craig, and Wyatt McCubbin, Corbin says the past three years have allowed him to focus more seriously on writing music and finding the message he wants to convey to listeners on his forthcoming project.

“It’s about being authentic and that’s what I always focus on when I write or record,” he says. “I keep one foot in traditional and one foot in the modern and marry those two. That’s really been my motto through the years.” And he’s had a successful time doing so.

Throughout his career, Corbin has amassed seven top 10 singles and three American Country Awards. Named Billboard’s 2010 Top New Country Artist, Corbin has never shied away from his traditional roots with Your Big Sky compliment in his “unapologetic and unwavering traditional country sound.” His self-titled debut album was named Country Breakthrough Album of the Year by iTunes Rewind Best of 2010 while American Songwriter has complimented the singer’s “warm, smooth-as-gravy-southern drawl.”

Along the way, Corbin hasn’t forgotten his roots. The young boy who grew up listening to Merle Haggard and George Jones with his grandparents remembers where he came from. “I do love traditional country music,” he says. “That sound is what drew me to country music as a genre. One of my very first records was a Merle Haggard album when I was a kid. The way he delivered a song, the emotion in his songwriting and in his voice, he was just the whole package.”

The 14-song Let’s Do Country Right feat ushered in a collection of new, yet-to-be-heard tunes, as well as previously released songs like “Marry That Girl.” Since releasing with DSPs, the “tenderhearted love story” (Whiskey Riff) has organically amassed an impressive 60 million+ streams collectively, and was featured on hit FOX reboot Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer.

The song was also featured in a live performance by top daytime talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, as well as fan-favorite syndicated iHeart radio show The Bobby Bones Show. Laced with Corbin’s warmly familiar baritone vocals, and layered with the true-to-his-roots production fans and radio love, the record offers something for everyone.

“The record is a good mixture of that up-tempo and midtempo songs along with a few ballads here and there,” he says of Let’s Do Country Right.

The LACS

Doors @ 7 PM | Show @ 8 PM

Ages 14+

On September 20, 2024, The Lacs, the Georgia-based duo of Clay Sharpe and Brian King, will release their highly anticipated album, ‘Story of a Trainwreck.’ This latest collection of 12 new recordings marks a notable shift from their signature country rap style to a more mainstream
country sound, showcasing their versatility and growth as artists.

‘Story of a Trainwreck’ is a deeply personal project, reflecting on Clay and Brian’s lives as touring musicians. The album’s tracks vividly portray the highs and lows of life on the road, painting a picture of the relentless grind, the electrifying performances, and the quiet moments
of reflection in between. Each song is a testament to their dedication to their craft and the sacrifices they’ve made along the way.

The album opens with the track, “I Love Country Songs,” setting the tone for the narrative journey that follows. This album delves into the chaotic and often unpredictable nature of their careers, highlighting the resilience and determination required to navigate the music industry. It’s a candid look at the behind-the-scenes challenges that fans rarely see.

One of the standout tracks, “Story of a Trainwreck,” explores the bittersweet reality of life on tour. It captures the duality of the exhilarating freedom of the open road and the longing for home and stability. Through heartfelt lyrics and evocative melodies, The Lacs convey the emotional toll of constant travel and the strain it can place on relationships.

Speaking of relationships, ‘Story of a Trainwreck’ doesn’t shy away from vulnerability. In songs like “Bad Ole Scars” and “Hurt Like Hell,” Clay and Brian share their personal experiences with heartbreak and healing. These tracks are raw and honest, offering listeners a window into the duo’s most vulnerable moments. They recount the pain of failed relationships, the lessons learned, and the strength gained from moving forward.

But it’s not all heartache and introspection. The Lacs also celebrate the joys of love and companionship in tracks like “Beer Friends” and “Redneck On.” These songs are joyful and uplifting, capturing the magic of romantic connections and the happiness that comes from finding someone who truly understands you.

In true Lacs fashion, the album also features stories of youthful mischief and rebellion. Songs like “Hellraisers in Heaven” and “That Whiskey Business” pay homage to their Southern roots and the carefree days of their youth. These tracks are filled with rollicking rhythms and catchy hooks, embodying the spirit of adventure and the fine line between harmless fun and real trouble.

‘Story of a Trainwreck’ is more than just an album; it’s a chronicle of The Lacs’ journey. It’s a testament to their growth as musicians and individuals, blending mainstream country influences with their unique storytelling style. Clay Sharpe and Brian King have crafted a collection of songs that resonate with authenticity and passion, inviting listeners to experience their world through music.

A proud Texas native who these days splits time between San Antonio and Nashville, Keith was born in Midland, Texas, steeped in country mystique.
